Which untold truth stood out to you and why?
What's a game changer?
The word is thrown around so loosely these days that I want to take a moment to define the traits and truths of real game changers. I used to think of game changers simply as “the best in the world at what they do”. However, it is not that simple and one-dimensional. Over the years, I've come to realize that some people who have achieved tremendous success and significantly impacted their industries weren’t happy. Amid the noise and excitement of excelling, there's a lot of ironies and untold truths about these mislabeled game changers. The one that cuts really deep for me is when an individual has massive success without fulfilment. This is the ultimate failure.
This realization compels me to overhaul the prevailing definition of a game changer. Being a game changer is not just wanting to make money or retiring at a young age. It’s not even about changing your industry or disrupting the market. Real game changers are people who are committed to improve themselves daily and bettering their best, with the ultimate goal of leaving a legacy and serving something a lot bigger than themselves. With this focus, you can find true happiness and live a fulfilling life.
To become a real game changer, you have to 1) spark your own fire: 2) connect with people who will push you to up your game; 3) understand and articulate your message; and 4) develop leaders who conform to high standards of excellence.
Join Markado and I as we talk about how you can become the best version of yourself while keeping your values intact, enjoying a world class lifestyle, and contributing to the success of others. Discover the winning traits that I've studied and emulated in the last 15 years and learn how you can adopt these traits in your own journey into becoming a real game changer and building your own legacy.

What is it like to be around some of the most incredible athletes in this generation? What does it take to get them to the next level? I’m fortunate to have legendary trainer Tim Grover on the show where he discusses his motivations, his philosophy, and how he got elite athletes like Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, Charles Barkley, and Michael Jordan to continuously improve on already unmatched performances.
Here’s the rub. I also ask Tim how workers, entrepreneurs and business owners can similarly upscale their game.
In our in-depth conversation on what defines greatness, Tim -- who wrote the phenomenal book, “Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable” -- shares his ideas and some tactical tips on how to stand out, the best way to cultivate a relentless spirit, and what we should take out of the successes we achieve.
Tim has the unorthodox view that work-life balance is unrealistic, especially among the top 1% of performers who perennially chase perfection. At the highest levels, something has to give. That means you have to set your priorities right and surround yourself with the right people who will support your vision of excellence.
You’ll be surprised and intrigued by Tim’s other views on how to become a superstar in your niche. So I invite you to listen to this podcast, glean the nuggets of wisdom that resonate with your personality, and urgently act on the ones that will get you to the next level.
